Jinny Lung (jlung@chicagobooth.edu)
Born and raised in Connecticut, Jinny received her BA in Political Economy and minor in Business Administration with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, Jinny spent a semester at Sussex University in the UK and traveled extensively throughout Europe. After college, Jinny decided to stay in the Bay Area as a corporate finance consultant in the communications industry. For five years, she engaged in a variety of due diligence, profit improvement, and merger integration projects for private equity, banking, and corporate clients. Jinny’s extensive travels around the world solidified her desire to engage in global issues such as poverty and women’s rights and to seek out unique cultural interactions. She would like to use her MBA experience  to expand her professional network at global NGOs and nonprofits and hopes to pursue a career in the international development field after Booth.
