About Cambodia

Room to Read Project:

The Cambodia government is dedicated to reducing poverty with strategies that have gained the World Bank's support. On education, they have built libraries, invested in teaching materials and provided teacher training. These projects have had conclusive results, as drop-out rates have declined, promotion rates increased, and scores on literacy and math exams have improved. Through our relationship with Room to Read, Chicago Global Citizens can have a direct impact on local communities.
